TeamSnap Pricing 2026: TeamSnap Cost per Team, Plans and Fees for Cheer Programs.
Almost every TeamSnap pricing page on the internet still quotes 9.99 dollars for Premium and 17.99 dollars for Ultra. Those figures are out of date. The numbers below were read on September 4, 2026 out of the plan data TeamSnap publishes on its own pricing page, and three of the four have changed.
Every price on this page comes from TeamSnap own published plan descriptions. Where TeamSnap does not publish a number, this page says so rather than estimating one.
Verified September 4, 2026
- Free: 0 dollars, roster capped at 15 players
- Premium: 10.00 / mo annual, 15.99 / mo monthly
- Ultra: 12.50 / mo annual, 21.99 / mo monthly
- For Business: quote only, no published figure
- Charged per team, never per athlete
- Card processing rate: not published
The short answer
TeamSnap costs nothing on a Free plan capped at 15 players, 10.00 dollars per team per month on Premium if you pay for a year up front and 15.99 dollars if you pay monthly, and 12.50 dollars per team per month on Ultra annually or 21.99 dollars monthly. The organization wide For Business tier is quote only. Everything is priced per team, so a cheer gym fielding eight competitive squads is buying eight subscriptions, not one.

TeamSnap runs a four step ladder: a free tier, two paid team plans and a quote only organization tier. The two paid plans each carry two prices depending on whether you pay yearly or monthly, which is where most of the confusion in other summaries comes from. The annual figure is what TeamSnap advertises; the monthly figure is what you actually pay if you do not commit to a year.

Monthly billing costs 60 to 76 percent more, and for a short cheer season that can still be right.
Premium is 10.00 dollars a month on a year, 15.99 a month without one. That is a 59.9 percent premium for the flexibility. Ultra is worse: 12.50 against 21.99, a 75.9 percent premium. Both gaps look brutal until you remember that cheer is seasonal and most sports pricing is not written for seasonal sports.
Do the arithmetic on months of actual use. A year of Ultra is 150 dollars. Monthly Ultra is 21.99, so 150 divided by 21.99 gives 6.8 months. If your team uses the app for fewer than about seven months, paying monthly and cancelling at the end of the season is cheaper than the annual plan everyone tells you to take. Premium breaks even at 7.5 months on the same logic. A school cheer squad that runs August through February is right at that line; a rec team that runs a ten week fall season is nowhere near it and should never buy a year.

| Plan | One year up front | 12 months paid monthly | Monthly premium | Break even |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Premium | $120.00 | $191.88 | 59.9 percent | 7.5 months of use |
| Ultra | $150.00 | $263.88 | 75.9 percent | 6.8 months of use |
Break even is the annual price divided by the monthly price, which is the number of months you have to keep the subscription open before the yearly plan wins.
The 9.99 and 17.99 figures are copied from an older price list.
Search TeamSnap pricing today and the review aggregators, the roundup blogs and a fair number of competitor comparison pages all report Premium at 9.99 and Ultra at 17.99. We repeated the same pair on our own comparison pages until this week, which is exactly how a stale number survives: everybody quotes everybody else and nobody reopens the vendor page. Reading TeamSnap current plan data gives a different set.

| Figure | Widely repeated | TeamSnap own data, Sept 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Premium | $9.99 / mo | $10.00 annual, $15.99 monthly |
| Ultra | $17.99 / mo | $12.50 annual, $21.99 monthly |
| Free tier roster cap | Rarely mentioned | 15 players, stated on the plan |
| Top tier name | Ultimate | For Business, quote only |
The practical consequence is not small. A coach who budgeted Ultra at 17.99 and pays monthly is 22 percent over budget. A program that budgeted it at 17.99 and pays annually is 30 percent under what it expected to spend, which is a pleasant surprise but still a wrong plan.
Per team pricing is fine for one team and gets expensive at eight.
This is the number that decides the question for a cheer gym, and no general sports software page works it out, because most sports do not field a dozen teams out of one building. All star cheer does. A mid sized program with Tiny, Mini, Youth, Junior and Senior levels plus a couple of prep teams and a school contract is running eight to twelve rosters, and TeamSnap prices each one separately.

| Teams in the program | TeamSnap Ultra, annual | TeamSnap Ultra, monthly | Cheerleaders plan that fits |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 team | $12.50 / mo | $21.99 / mo | Team, $29 / mo |
| 3 teams | $37.50 / mo | $65.97 / mo | Program, $79 / mo |
| 5 teams | $62.50 / mo | $109.95 / mo | Program, $79 / mo |
| 8 teams | $100.00 / mo | $175.92 / mo | Program, $79 / mo |
| 12 teams | $150.00 / mo | $263.88 / mo | All-Star Gym, $199 / mo |
| 20 teams | $250.00 / mo | $439.80 / mo | All-Star Gym, $199 / mo |
Read that honestly and TeamSnap wins the top of the table. One team on Ultra annual is 12.50 a month against 29, and a three team program at 37.50 still undercuts a 79 dollar program plan. The crossover on annual billing lands somewhere between six and seven teams, and on monthly billing it arrives at four. Past that the per team model works against you, and by twenty teams the same tool costs more than twice what flat program pricing does.
There is a second effect worth naming: TeamSnap subscriptions are normally bought by the team owner, which in practice is the head coach or a team parent. Eight teams often means eight different people holding eight different logins and eight different credit cards, and the gym owner has no view across any of it. The For Business tier exists to solve that, and it is the tier with no published price. If you want the full comparison rather than the cost line alone, the TeamSnap alternative breakdown for cheer programs goes feature by feature.
Fifteen players is under the size of most competitive cheer teams.
The Free plan is real and it is not crippled. It carries scheduling, messaging, assignments and payments, which covers a surprising amount of what a small squad needs. The constraint is the roster: 15 players. A cheer team built around stunt groups of four or five plus a backspot rotation and a couple of alternates is rarely under 16, and a Level 2 or Level 3 competitive team commonly sits between 20 and 24. Large coed divisions go higher still.
So the free tier is genuinely usable for a small rec squad, a middle school team or a sideline only group, and it stops being an option the moment a program starts fielding competitive rosters. That is a cleaner way to decide than reading feature lists: count the roster, and if it is 16 or more the free plan is not on the table. Squad sizes and how they break into groups are covered on the cheerleading positions guide.
Two numbers you cannot get without asking.
Card processing rates
The For Business tier lists processing rates as a benefit and attaches no percentage to it. TeamSnap collects team payments on every paid tier, so a rate exists on all of them. It is simply not published. Ask for the percentage and the per transaction fee in writing before you compare it to anything.
The Premium roster ceiling
Premium is described as covering 16 or more players and Ultra is the one that adds unlimited roster spots. That phrasing implies Premium has a ceiling, but the number is never stated. If your roster is close to any plausible limit, get the figure confirmed rather than assuming.
For Business pricing
The organization tier is quote only. For a cheer gym this is the tier that actually matters, because it is the one that consolidates every team under one account with program management and org wide messaging. Budgeting for it from the public page is not possible.
None of this is unusual. Unpublished card rates are the norm across this whole market: ClassJuggler, iClassPro, Gymdesk and Jackrabbit all decline to publish theirs too. It is worth knowing that the rate is the line item most likely to dwarf the subscription. A program collecting 200,000 dollars a year in tuition and competition fees pays roughly 6,000 dollars in processing at 3 percent, which is forty times a 150 dollar software subscription.
The headline price is meaningless until you know what is being counted.
Comparing 12.50 against 44.95 against 99 tells you nothing, because the three vendors are metering completely different things. TeamSnap counts teams. ClassJuggler counts total students on the books. Zen Planner counts active members and specifically excludes staff. A cheer gym with 150 athletes across ten teams gets a wildly different answer from each.

| Vendor | What it counts | Cost at 150 athletes in 10 teams | Verified |
|---|---|---|---|
| TeamSnap Ultra, annual | Teams | $125.00 / mo | Sept 4, 2026 |
| ClassJuggler | Total students, 1 to 150 band | $44.95 / mo | Sept 3, 2026 |
| Zen Planner Studio | Active members, 101 to 150 band | $229.00 / mo | Sept 4, 2026 |
| Cheerleaders All-Star Gym | Nothing, flat per gym | $199.00 / mo | Current |
ClassJuggler is the cheapest line in that table by a distance and it is worth saying so plainly. What it is not is a cheer product: it is class and studio administration, so tryout scoring, level progression and competition season workflow are not there. The same goes for Zen Planner, which is built for martial arts and fitness gyms and prices accordingly. The full Zen Planner tier ladder is worked out separately, and the wider vendor picture sits on the cheer class management software roundup.
How much does TeamSnap cost?
Read from TeamSnap own plan data on September 4, 2026, TeamSnap costs nothing on the Free plan, 10.00 dollars per team per month on Premium billed annually or 15.99 billed monthly, and 12.50 dollars per team per month on Ultra billed annually or 21.99 billed monthly. Organization wide pricing under For Business is quote only. Every figure is per team, not per athlete.
Is TeamSnap free to use?
There is a genuine free tier, but it caps the roster at 15 players. It includes scheduling, messaging, assignments and payments. Fifteen is below the size of most competitive cheer teams, which commonly run 16 to 24 athletes, so a cheer squad usually hits the cap on the day the roster is finalized rather than later in the season.
How much is TeamSnap per month?
Paying month to month, Premium is 15.99 dollars per team per month and Ultra is 21.99. Paying for a full year up front lowers the equivalent monthly figure to 10.00 for Premium and 12.50 for Ultra. Monthly billing therefore carries a 59.9 percent premium on Premium and a 75.9 percent premium on Ultra.
Does TeamSnap charge per team or per person?
Per team. One subscription covers one team and is normally paid by the team owner, usually the head coach or a team manager. A cheer gym running eight competitive teams needs eight subscriptions unless it moves to the quote only For Business tier, so cost scales with how many teams a program fields rather than how many athletes it enrolls.
What is the difference between TeamSnap Premium and Ultra?
On TeamSnap own plan descriptions the single stated difference is roster size: Ultra adds unlimited roster spots on top of everything in Premium. Premium is described as covering 16 or more players and adds availability and RSVP, drills and practice plans, and an ad free experience for the owner and managers. The upgrade is a roster capacity decision.
How much does TeamSnap cost per year?
Buying a year up front, Premium works out at 120 dollars per team per year and Ultra at 150. Paying monthly instead comes to 191.88 and 263.88 if you keep the subscription open all twelve months. For a season shorter than about seven months, monthly billing can be the cheaper of the two.
What is TeamSnap For Business pricing?
TeamSnap does not publish a number for it. The For Business tier is listed as a custom quote and is described as adding program management, organization wide messaging, payment processing rates and TeamSnap Ultra for every team in the organization. A multi team cheer gym cannot budget this tier from the public page and has to request a quote.
Are there hidden fees in TeamSnap pricing?
Nothing is hidden, but two numbers are not published. Payment processing rates appear only as a benefit phrase on the For Business tier with no percentage attached, and the roster ceiling on Premium is never stated as a figure. Both are normal gaps here: ClassJuggler, iClassPro, Gymdesk and Jackrabbit also decline to publish card rates.
Is TeamSnap good for cheerleading teams?
It is good at the general half of the job and absent on the cheer specific half. Scheduling, availability, messaging and team payments all work well. There is no tryout scoring, no USASF level or stunt progression tracking, no stunt group assignment and no competition season workflow, so a competitive program keeps those in spreadsheets alongside it.
Is TeamSnap cheaper than cheer specific software?
For a single team, yes. Ultra at 12.50 per team per month on annual billing undercuts most cheer specific pricing. The arithmetic flips as teams multiply, because TeamSnap charges per team while program pricing does not. Around six teams a program plan starts to win, and past roughly sixteen teams the gap gets wide.
